Beginning 4 or 5-year-olds may elect to play T-ball or MCP.
The MCP League is a developmental program that aims to teach players how to play the game and have fun doing it. Typically, there are 2-3 events each week Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays, a 1-hour game, and/or a 90-minute practice per week. In the game, players have the opportunity to hit a select number of coach pitches per at-bat before moving to the tee. There is no official score, no umpires, or no end-of-season competitive tournament for this league.
The Modified Coach Pitch (MCP) is for players 5-6 years old in the Spring, and 4-5 years old in the Fall. Playing age is determined by the age of the play on April 30th of the actual playing year. Beginning 4-5 year-olds have the option of playing MCP or T-ball.
Typically, all weekday events for MCP begin at 5:15-5:30 PM.
MCP Players do not attend evaluations. Efforts are made to place players in the same neighborhood and/or the same school on the same team. This is not guaranteed but is more likely for early registrants.
UNIFORM ORDER POLICY (UPDATED SPRING 2024)
Each MCP, Rookie, Minor, and Major player orders and pays for a uniform bundle containing 2 jerseys and 1 baseball hat. All teams wear the same style and color of jerseys – 1 color will be used as the ‘Home’ team; the other color will be worn as the ‘Away’ team. The same hat will be worn at all games.
Players choose their jersey number and his/her last name will be applied to the back of the jersey! The Uniform Ordering Portal is located on NWCBA.com. The NW Uniform Bundle is available only from the NW-approved vendor.

MCP PLAYERS NEED:
- Baseball Glove
- Batting Helmet
- Bat - MUST BE USA BASEBALL STAMPED
- Rubber Cleats – Metal cleats are NOT allowed
- Hard protective cup – Soft cups are NOT permitted
- Gray Baseball Pants
- Socks – One pair each - red and navy
- Belt – One each - red and navy
- Mouth guard - optional, but suggested
